Terre Blanche

Provence, France

This luxury resort sits atop a hill within an outstanding estate that combines the character of Provence with the chic of the Côte d’Azur. Nearly 750 acres of primary forest provides the backdrop to the hotel’s village-like infrastructure of meandering suites and villas, all complete with their own private terrace.

Terre Blanche — Provence, France

Four restaurants – each one as good as the next – the exceptional spa, two championship golf courses, outstanding golf school, infinity pool, tennis courts and a phenomenal kids club, all add to the arrive-and-never-leave appeal of Terre Blanche.

The story

When owner Dietmar Hopp set eyes on the Terre Blanche resort in the 1990s, it was love at first sight. At the time, the site was barren – a reminder of an unfinished project – but rather than see what was not achieved, he was enthralled by the prospect of what could be.

Your stay

Villa Terre Blanche with its own private pool and stunning views over the surrounding hills and perched villages, is the type of stay that will spoil all others.

How to spend your time

Explore the Estérel natural park by bike – full pedal power or electric – before enjoying a hand-curated picnic of French wines and cheeses. If that sounds like too much work for vacation, a round of golf on the Le Riou course before lunch at Les Caroubiers, overlooking the 18th hole, might be something to add to your agenda.

Fall in love with

The warm French welcome: meet local artisans; discover Provence through the eyes of those who know it best; be mesmerized by the bucolic landscapes Provençal is known for. There are a million ways to explore the region and we’re here to let you in on all its secrets.

Expect the unexpected

The hotel walls and gardens are peppered with contemporary art from the owner’s private collection—and the hotel’s staff are as enthusiastic as he is in striking up conversation about them.
